Terms of Service

This page summarizes Vonnect’s intended terms based on the client product description. Final legal documents should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before launch. Contact: [INSERT SUPPORT EMAIL]. Business name: [INSERT FINAL LEGAL BUSINESS NAME].

1. About Vonnect

Vonnect is an on-demand video-call platform where users use Vonnect Minutes purchased through the Apple App Store to access video-call services from verified providers. Verified providers can make themselves generally available through Go Online or give selected users enhanced direct-call access through Lock In. When an eligible call is accepted, Vonnect Minutes are used according to the provider’s applicable video-call rate and call duration. Eligible verified providers may earn compensation from qualifying completed calls and receive payouts through Vonnect’s supported payout system.

Vonnect is not a bank, money-transfer service, cryptocurrency service, digital wallet, peer-to-peer payment platform, or tipping/donation platform.

2. Eligibility and account creation

You must be eligible to use Vonnect under applicable law and Vonnect’s requirements. You are responsible for the information you provide, for maintaining the security of your account, and for activity that occurs under your account.

3. Providers and verification

Not every Vonnect user automatically qualifies to earn money from calls. Only eligible verified providers who satisfy Vonnect’s requirements may earn compensation from qualifying services. Providers must be approved before becoming eligible to earn compensation through Vonnect.

Verification may include account information, identity information, required documentation, profile review, eligibility review, compliance review, payout onboarding, and additional information required by payment providers or applicable law. Approval is not guaranteed. Vonnect may reject, restrict, suspend, or revoke provider status when necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, enforce Vonnect policies, satisfy legal obligations, meet payment-provider requirements, address safety concerns, or address prohibited activity.

4. Go Online

A verified provider activates Go Online when they are available to receive calls from eligible Vonnect users. While Go Online is active, eligible Vonnect users may initiate a video call. The provider can turn Go Online off whenever they are no longer available. When the provider turns Go Online off, standard users may no longer initiate an on-demand call.

5. Lock In

Lock In is a Vonnect access feature that allows a verified provider to give a selected user permission to initiate a call even when the provider is not currently showing as online. Lock In is controlled by the verified provider. Lock In gives the user permission to initiate the call. It does not guarantee that the provider will answer. The provider still decides whether to accept, decline, or miss the incoming call.

Lock In does not make calls free, does not transfer money, does not transfer Vonnect Minutes, does not create a financial account between the two users, and does not change the provider’s applicable call rate unless Vonnect separately provides that functionality. A provider may remove Lock In access according to platform rules. Lock In remains subject to Vonnect’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Lock In should never override blocking, account suspension, safety restrictions, provider restrictions, or Vonnect enforcement actions.

6. Video calls

No advance appointment is required for the core Vonnect calling experience. Users can initiate real-time video calls with eligible verified providers. The provider may accept, decline, or miss the call. If the provider accepts, the video call begins. Vonnect Minutes are used according to the applicable call rate and call duration. The call ends when either participant ends it or when applicable calling conditions are no longer satisfied. The same applicable video-call rate and Vonnect Minutes rules apply to Go Online calls and Lock In calls.

7. Vonnect Minutes and customer charges

Vonnect Minutes are digital units purchased through the Apple App Store and used within the Vonnect iOS application to access eligible services, including video calls with verified providers. Customers purchase eligible Vonnect Minutes through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Available packages and pricing are displayed within the iOS application before purchase. Customers should be able to see the applicable video-call rate before initiating a call.

Vonnect Minutes are not a bank account, a deposit account, cryptocurrency, peer-to-peer money, a money-transfer service, cash stored for another user, or a customer payout account. Customers cannot use Vonnect Minutes to send money directly to another customer. The customer is using in-app digital units to access an eligible service.

8. Provider compensation and payouts

Provider compensation is separate from customer Vonnect Minutes. Customers use Vonnect Minutes to access eligible services. Vonnect calculates eligible provider compensation separately. Provider earnings are recorded according to Vonnect’s provider terms. Eligible earnings may later become available for payout through Vonnect’s supported payout system after applicable verification and payout requirements are satisfied.

Provider earnings may be affected by eligible call activity, call duration, applicable provider rate, platform/service fees, refunds, adjustments, disputes, fraud investigations, and other applicable terms. Payouts may be subject to identity verification, payout-account verification, payment-provider requirements, processing periods, applicable minimums, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, fraud review, account restrictions, compliance review, and applicable law. Vonnect may delay, restrict, or adjust payouts when necessary for fraud prevention, security, compliance, dispute resolution, refunds, legal obligations, or payment-provider requirements.

9. Refunds and disputes

Because Vonnect’s standard service is on-demand, traditional appointment cancellation rules generally do not apply. If a call is not accepted and no eligible video-call service begins, the customer should not be charged for a completed call. Minutes properly used for a successfully delivered video-call service are generally not refundable simply because a user later changes their mind or is dissatisfied with the conversation. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived. Additional details are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

10. Prohibited activity

Users must not engage in prohibited activity, including illegal goods or services, fraud, scams, impersonation, harassment, threats, hate-based abuse, exploitation, human trafficking, sexual services, paid sexually explicit interactions, pornographic services or content where prohibited, adult live-chat services, escort or prostitution services, illegal drug transactions, illegal weapons transactions, money laundering, peer-to-peer money transfers, unauthorized financial transactions, attempts to exchange Vonnect Minutes outside approved Vonnect functionality, attempts to convert customer Minutes into cash, attempts to use Vonnect as a money-transfer platform, payment circumvention, soliciting payment outside approved Vonnect processes for Vonnect services, prohibited goods or services, and illegal activity of any kind. This applies to video calls, profiles, posts, uploaded content, messages, account behavior, provider services, and other Vonnect features.

11. Intellectual property and user content

Vonnect also allows users to discover and engage with content according to Vonnect’s product features, Terms of Service, and Community Guidelines. Users are responsible for content they upload or share and must not infringe the rights of others. Vonnect may remove content that violates these terms or the Community Guidelines.

12. Safety, suspension, and termination

Vonnect is committed to maintaining a safe platform for customers and providers. All activity on Vonnect is subject to these Terms of Service, the Community Guidelines, Provider Terms, applicable law, and relevant payment-provider requirements. Vonnect may review, restrict, suspend, or permanently remove accounts that violate platform rules, including for policy violations, fraud, safety concerns, payment issues, prohibited services, legal requirements, or other applicable reasons.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Vonnect does not guarantee that a provider will answer any call, including Lock In calls. Verification and provider approval are subject to Vonnect eligibility requirements and review. To the extent permitted by law, Vonnect provides the platform as described in these terms and related policies. This section should be completed by qualified legal counsel, including governing law and limitation of liability language appropriate to the final legal entity.
